You may notice from the date that its been a long time since I even thought about weight loss. After I started my last attempt I got offered my dream job being paid to train as a Health Visitor. This was great for my career aspirations, but its a full time year long course with a huge amount of work crammed into a very short time. I'm talking just weeks between the submission of Master level assignments! So my rather pathetic excuse hangs purely on the fact that I have been so ridiculously busy. When so busy I think its fair to consider a packet of biscuits being consumed while falling asleep onto the computer as a healthy and balanced evening meal.
I am due to finish the course on the 19th September and have just returned from the 2 weeks of annual leave. These two weeks involved eating large quantities of patisserie and drinking copious amounts of wine in the French sunshine. It would certainly have been rude to have deprived the bakers of the large quantity of Euro's that we sent their way. I went away back up to my usual 12 stone 7, and came back at 12 stone 10, so 100% definitely heading in the wrong direction.
Now this seems like a good time to regroup and reconsider the fitness and healthy eating thing, I am not rushing head long into a fad diet, just considering some not to punishing and ideally easy steps to start shedding a few pounds. I am due to go on a night out on Wednesday, so we may gloss over that evening, but other than the occasional special treat I am going to start to try to say no more often that yes to those scrummy yummy little treats.
